Alfa Romeo GTA 1300 Junior del 1968, preparata Angelini per il pilota M. Radicella. Franco Angelini, detto il "Mago", era uno dei più geniali, vincenti e leali preparatori Alfa Romeo. Persino Bruno Bonini, uno dei collaudatori-simbolo dell’Alfa, confessò che riconoscevano in Angelini il miglior preparatore del marchio, tanto è vero che la sua officina fu l’unica ad essere autorizzata Autodelta in Italia. Il preparatore romano era stimato ma anche temuto dalla casa del Portello a causa della “irritante" frequenza con la quale le sue vetture bianco-rosse sconfiggevano quelle ufficiali di Autodelta. Angelini non era solo bravo a preparare motori ma anche a formare piloti, citiamo Luigi Rinaldi, Claudio Francisci e anche Ignazio Giunti, che grazie a lui intraprese la carriera delle corse che lo portarono fino alla F1. Tra i vari clienti piloti del preparatore romano, c’era anche il fedelissimo Comandante Mario Radicella, che acquistò nuova questa vettura il 11/06/68 e la fece preparare dal “Mago”. Il pilota romano era famoso oltre che per le sue capacità al volante, anche per quelle alla cloche di Boeing, era infatti il più giovane comandante pilota di Jumbo-jet al mondo. Tra un volo e l’altro il pilota si destreggiava da privato a bordo di questa Alfa Romeo GTA Junior nelle competizioni su circuito nazionali e internazionali; i suoi autodromi preferiti erano Monza, Imola e Vallelunga dove sulla pista di Campagnano deteneva (prima dell’inversione del senso di marcia) i record al limite delle 1300 e 1600 turismo.

Even Bruno Bonini, one of Alfa's iconic test drivers, confessed that they recognized Angelini as the brand's best tuner, so much so that his workshop was the only one to be Autodelta authorized in Italy. The roman tuner was esteemed but also feared by the Portello company because of the "irritating" frequency with which his red and white cars defeated the official Autodelta ones. Angelini was not only good at preparing engines but also at training drivers, we mention Luigi Rinaldi, Claudio Francisci and also Ignazio Giunti, who thanks to him embarked on a racing career that took him up to F1. Among the various driver of the Roman tuner, there was also the loyal Commander Mario Radicella, who bought this car new on 11/06/68 and had it prepared by the “Mago". The roman driver was famous not only for his skills behind the wheel, but also for those at the Boeing yoke, he was in fact the youngest Jumbo-jet pilot commander in the world. Between one flight and another, the driver juggled privately aboard this Alfa Romeo GTA Junior in national and international circuit competitions; his favourite racetracks were Monza, Imola and Vallelunga where on the Campagnano track he held (before the reversal of the direction) the records at the limit of 1300 and 1600 touring cars.
