The 575M Superamerica was introduced in 2005 as convertible version of the 575M Maranello coupe. Fitted with a 540bhp V12 engine coupled to either a six speed manual or six speed Electrohydraulic “F1” gearbox, giving a top speed of 199mph, it was marketed as the worlds fastest convertible. The roof incorporated two features which were production car firsts. The glass panel rotates through 180° to lay flat over the boot, resulting in no loss of luggage capacity, whilst the Electrochromic glass has a selection of five different tint settings. A total of 599 Superamericas were built over 2005-2006.
As well as the “F1” gearbox the car is fitted with the optional Fiorano handling pack comprising of 15mm lowered and stiffer springs plus revised ECU controls for the dampers and steering. Bodywork is finished in Nero Daytona with the interior having Nero hide and carpets. Factory options include Ferrari shields on each wing, yellow brake callipers and rev counter, Daytona seats and Nero hide rear shelf
