"Introduced in 1993 to the public, the handsome new DB7 was Aston Martin's first six-cylinder model since production of the DBS had finished in 1971. Styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB4/5/6 could be seen in its design. Arguably one of the most attractive looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin, the DB7 was well received and attracted new customers worldwide with its traditional layout of the curvaceous two-door coupé body and powerful six or twelve-cylinder engine.At the Geneva Motor Show in 1999, Aston Martin introduced the six litre Cosworth designed and built V12 engine with 24 valve cylinder heads, developing 420bhp and limited to 185mph. Other changes included chassis and braking upgrades, the much more powerful engine demanding greater quantities of air intake and cooling, as well as uprated brakes. Ian Callum enlarged the grille, added fog lamps and re-styled the valances to give the car a more aggressive look.This lovely low mileage Mendip Blue with cream leather trim example of the Vantage Volante was registered on the 2nd November 2000 and supplied by Stratstone of Mayfair. The car was serviced regularly by Stratstone of Mayfair until 2006, which must have been a no expense spared philosophy boasting 12 stamps in that time. In 2007 at just 22,000 miles this example was then subject to a category D insurance claim, the owner decided to have this work completed and as such the car has been owned and enjoyed without issue ever since. The book pack and service schedule shows further stamps with main dealers and specialists alike the most recent with NVS in April of this year alongside a new MoT.
