History:
In the period July 1963- September 1965 a mere 1.000 Aston Martin DB5 Saloons were built. Most DB5’s built were RHD, only roughly 20 % was built as LHD.

The Aston Martin DB5 was an evolution of the DB 4 Series V Vantage and looked almost identical. The main differences between the two were that the engine was enlarged from 3.7 Litres to 4.0 Litres, a 5-Speed ZF manual transmission was introduced, three SU carburettors were fitted as also electric windows.

This original LHD example was delivered new to a vineyard owner in Austria in the colour Dubonnet Rosso with black interior. After a few years of enthusiastic ownership, one day the Aston Martin was parked in front of the house. The children played in the DB5 and released the handbrake. It rolled down the hill and ended up colliding with a tree! Instead of repairing the Aston Martin DB5, she was stored in a barn on the vineyard.

Many years later, a well-known Aston Martin collector from Münich heard about the DB5 Saloon and added her to his impressive Aston Martin collection. The plan was to have the Aston Martin restored to its former glory. Sadly that never took place and some 20 years back the DB5 was bought by her present owner, also from Münich. He approached Noble House for a full nut and bolt restoration. Over a period of several years the Aston Martin was fully restored to concours standard. Every detail has been worked on, the restoration is captured in more than 3.500 pictures! The Noble House invoices in the history file show the huge investments made by the owner to get the DB5 Saloon in concours condition.

Due to private reasons of the owner for selling this gorgeous DB5 Saloon, this is a unique opportunity to acquire a very rare, original LHD Aston Martin DB5 in perfect condition.
